About

Our Mission:  To be redeemed God-glorifiers, awakening oaks to the treasures of the Kingdom.

We have all been fearfully and wonderfully made by the sovereign hands of the good LORD.  I believe that in the world today, too many Christians are too comfortable with the systems of this world, and that we as a people, are settling for as C.S. Lewis puts it, “making mud pies in a slum because we cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at the sea.  We are far too easily pleased.”

I believe that the hardest things to do in life are to walk with the LORD, and to take time to wonder at His will.  Too often, I let my life get too busy, too overwhelmed with the demands of my present circumstances, and I fail to stop and meditate on the things of God.

We serve a great and mighty King, and we need to take the time to consider all the worlds His hands have made, and why He made them!  Our God is a God of purposeful steadfast love, and each moment of every day is packed with His sovereign, good plans!

Our mission is a call to awaken your own heart, and those of your fellow saints, to the deep vastness of the treasures of the Kingdom, meant for us today.  Meditate on these words from Isaiah, and consider how we can display the beauty of the LORD through the rich treasures He has given us:

“The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon us, because the LORD has anointed us to bring good news to the afflicted; He has sent us to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the eyes to those who are blind; …to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit; that they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that He may display His beauty.  They shall build up the ancient ruins; they shall raise up the former devastations; they shall repair the ruined cities, the devastations of many generations.”  Isaiah 61:1-3

Consider the power of GOD that should be at work in your life today, in your family, in your community, in your city – the good gospel work that needs doing.  We must awaken one another to these great truths, and rest in the promises of God as we do.  We must form new habits, and stop settling for making mud pies in the slums.  We need to be thinkers and worshipers, welcoming others into the eternal joy that we know!

This site is to be a place for planting kingdom seeds in our hearts, and to rouse up the dormant Christian soul to the power and wonder of the mighty King we serve!  Soli Deo gloria!
